Much discussion

After much discussion....many ideas/debates/rough shitty drawings...i wont be using nails for the putting up of my work on the wall....i shall be using screws...
(below are screws)

I will conbine these screws with a drill to get the job done.

Finished and Proud...weew!

I have finished my piece. It have been a big success...so much so that i had time to do 4 more panels than originally planned. The dimensions are 61 x 40. There will 5 panels high x 4 panels across.

It is fitting in my exhibition well nicely!

Above is how they shall fit together. I want no space between.

The Working Process...

Well, the working process i chose to follow was....
-Get backgrounds cut into 4's
-Pre-Prepared background
-Choose image to paint
-Blot white under colour "silhouette" of image (wait till dried)
-Paint image in with colour (leave to dry)
-With a Nico, outline image
-Go back over with charcoal/pastel (if so desired)
-Seal work for all mediums

initial ideas

this assignment can be linked with other assignments for other classes. i think i am going to follow from the media driven assignment from painting, to the self assignment in painting. basically, i will be focusing on the helplessness I feel for our growing community. because reading a news paper gets sadder and sadder every day.

looking for shit.

when painting, i like rough preped surfaces. im thinking this time around, i want ready made ones.

ive been interested on working on the backing boards in the drawing and painting rooms since i started. they are so messed up. they have paint splash and drips, doodles, scratches words.

art of mine i like.

ive picked out some work of mine that I still like.

i like rough surfaces. more to that, i like the contrast of a clean image on top. this is what i would like to do for my final piece.

made me inspired.

These images i like. They are clean or dirty or cut out or amusing. My works will reflect this.

This blog site has been made to track the process of my art. I am currently starting to work on a body of art that will be shown at Southbank Institute of Technology in November.
